Bolsover District Council is charged with actively regenerating the former industrial localities and improving the environment, to attract new and developing businesses to the area. Having developed a dynamic and coherent vision for the district that will bring all council housing into decent condition by 2010 as well as regenerating specific areas affected by coalfield closures, we will ensure that the new offer in the district is suitable in terms of type, size, price and location to secure a balanced housing market, supported by a commercial offer that creates a destination of unparalleled potential.

As Director of Development, you will be a key member of the executive team, helping to shape the vision and driving forward the physical and economic development of the area, focusing on jobs, housing, mixed-use and retail schemes. This is a proactive and multifaceted role; one requiring persuasive communication skills as well as the ability to manage, motivate and lead both internally and externally to drive forward this exciting regeneration and growth opportunity.
